Located in Lincoln, Rhode Island, Barberry Field is the creative concept of Deb Houghton, a professional artist who loves vintage and romantic items.  Deb created Barberry Field after finding it difficult to locate vintage and cottage style accessories that she loves to fill her home with.  Deb decided that she would use her professional training to create, paint and gather these items for herself and others.

Deb has over 20 years experience in the decorative painting field.  She has received her certificate in Decorative Painting from the renowned Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), in Providence, RI; Certification from Decorating Masters Institute for Advance Decorative Finishes, Fort Myers, Florida; Certification in Decorative Painting through Priscilla Hauser, Panama City Beach, Florida.  Deb has had her work exhibited at the Fuller Craft Museum located in Brockton, MA.

Deb has been highly trained, has much experience and is dedicated to painting high quality designs, finishes and pieces for her clients.  Custom furniture or items are available through Barberry Field.

 Currently Deb is co-owner of ‘Lime Rock Design Studio’, a decorative painting business.  Creating beautiful custom finishes for clients, from simple freehand painted borders, to creative “faux” finishes to elaborate murals, the work is timeless and a perfect accent to clients decorative needs.  Classes are also offered at the studio for those who would like to learn how to faux!
